LAUREN BARNETTE

Lauren Barnette is a southern girl at heart, born and raised in the southwest mountains of Virginia.  This fun-witted and sassy extrovert has been entertaining since before she could walk. At the sprightly age of four, her weapon of choice was the microphone.  In 2002, she won the title of Miss Virginia Teen USA and landed on the cover of Pageantry magazine. Yes, it’s a big deal.

2007 was a show-stopper for Lauren, as she captured the Miss Virginia USA title and finished 6th at the nationally televised Miss USA pageant. Lauren spent the year speaking both locally and nationally on behalf of the Best Buddies Organization and volunteering for the Safe Kids Coalition, the Beth Foundation and the National Kidney Foundation. As the roller-coaster year came to a close, Lauren hosted her first Miss Virginia USA show, televised live to thousands of viewers. Lauren’s love for interacting and connecting with people naturally led her to choose Communication as her collegiate major. In May 2008, she graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences. She quickly booked a music video for country star Randy Houser and landed a gig as a briefcase model on NBC’s hit show Deal or No Deal.

Lauren has also been an entertainment host and red carpet correspondent for the H.O.M.E. Foundation, World Championship of Performing Arts, the Miss Virginia USA Organization and Stiks. She currently writes, produces and hosts Tackle This, a web-series dedicated to covering stories behind the headlines in the sports world.

SAMANTHA RABON

Originally from Cape town, South Africa, Sam grew up in Sydney, Australia. At 18 she accepted her first dance gig in Japan, which then launched her into her journey as a professional dancer around Europe. For the next 12 years, Sam was at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, eventually becoming a soloist dancer.

The grueling demands of dancing and full time performing led to inevitable injures. She discovered Pilates as part of her rehabilitation and was impressed with the benefits, thus her passion for health and fitness was born. By 2007, she had started a family and by 2009 had received certification in Pilates, Barre, TRX, Lagree Fitness and nutrition.

Sam’s teaching style is hardcore, no nonsense yet sassy and full of energy. She creates a comfortable atmosphere by educating her clients with correct alignment, all fused together with delicious beats to motivate and keep your body on point.

“Stay patient, dedicated, and consistent! There will never be any overnight successes in achieving the body you want! Staying consistent in working out and pushing past your comfort zone is the key to achieving your fitness goal.”
