WHY 25 MINUTES?
“I don’t have time” is the #1 reason why people don’t exercise. Many people still believe that they need an hour or more of exercise time to get benefits. The truth is, it’s not about time, it’s about effort. A highly effective workout can be had in a short amount of time. This amount of time is designed to cater to people who need to fit in a workout before work, during lunch, or on their drive home. Simultaneously, the 25 minute workout allows people who want to workout for an hour or more to sign up for as many classes in a row as they like.
On the days you are pressed for time, you get the most effective 25-minute workout ever. On the days you have the energy to burn, sign up for multiple sessions in a row. Our schedule of classes mixes full-body workouts with specialized sessions to target particular anatomy. At Lagree fitness, our goal is not for you to exercise less, but to eliminate time as an excuse for not exercising.
The Science Behind 25 Minutes
It’s becoming increasingly evident that most of the benefits of high-intensity training occur within the first 15 to 20 minutes of exercise. This is because:
- The first 30-60 seconds of exercise time relies on creatine phosphate for energy.
- Once that’s depleted, you rely on the breakdown of carbohydrate or sugar for energy.
- At the same time, you’re gonna be using fat.
- 3-5 minutes of high-intensity exercise is all you need to trigger a significant heart rate response
- The higher the intensity, the more your body is going to rely on burning carbohydrate
25 minutes is also very practical. Each class begins on the hour or at the half hour. If you arrive late, simply wait 25 minutes for the next class to begin. For those you still want to train for an hour or longer, you still can. Simply sign up for multiple sessions in a row. Or, at various points in the day. If you want to play on the Supra longer, you are welcome to stay and take more sessions!
